01/10/2009: Jawad to appear in flagship Channel 4 series
In 2008, 24 year old model/TV presenter Katie Piper was brutally attacked by an ex-boyfriend. In the attack, the offender poured sulphuric acid onto the victim which resulted in horrific burns to Miss Piper's face, neck and hands. The extensive reconstructive surgery that Mr Jawad has performed on Miss Piper over the last 18 months has been covered in a forthcoming documentary on Channel 4's flagship production, 'Cutting Edge'.

The reconstructive surgery performed by Jawad has been hailed as an extraordinary success and the results achieved are highly commendable. When Mr Jawad first became involved in the rehabilitation of Katie, she was at the start of a long, emotional & physical battle to regain the looks that had been so cruelly taken from her.
